I had a lot of fun at Ohayocon, this year. I had an artist alley table set up on the left-hand side of the "U" and had a great view of the traffic and cosplayers and attendees that passed by. Met up with some old friends, made some new ones, talked with a lot of amazing people, and did a couple commissions on top of button and print sales. Overall, not what I would call a "rousing success" financially, but then again my main goal is to simply get my name out there and spread awareness of my existence... and hang out with some pretty cool people :) Anyway, the whole event renewed a lot of belief in myself as an artist, so I'm going to try and

Most creative folks know the problem: When you do something for money or for grades and not for yourself, you start to burn out after a while. I'm there. I'm completely tapped out and have no reserves to call upon. My grades are suffering at school because of this and I've not been able to meet any of the commitments I've made to others. It has simply reached a point where my art supplies are making me more anxious than happy and the concept of sitting down to work has become something to avoid more than enjoy.
